Give the old people plenty of water; to become them healthy and fit (Keep a full water bottle in front of them rather closer).

Whenever I teach clinical medicine to fourth-year medical students, I ask the following questions about the health and fitness of old men and women:
What are the causes of mental confusion in the elderly?
One answer is:
Tumor in the head.
I replied: No.
Others suggest early signs of Alzheimer’s.
I replied again: No.
After rejecting their answers, they become silent. So when I give them a list of three common reasons, their mouths drop open.
1- Uncontrolled diabetes.
2- Urinary tract infection.
3- Dehydration.
These reasons seem like a joke.
But it is not so.
People over the age of 60 usually stop feeling thirsty and consequently stop drinking fluids. And if someone around doesn’t remind them to drink some water, etc., they tend to get dehydrated quickly. Dehydration in their body becomes severe and it affects the whole body.
that sudden mental confusion,
decrease in blood pressure,
increased heart rate,
angina (chest pain),
May cause coma and even death.
This habit of forgetting to drink water etc starts at the age of 60 years.
The amount of water in our body should be more than 50%.
While people over 60 years of age have less water storage in their bodies (which means less healthy and fit). This is a natural part of the aging process.
But! There are further complications. That is, even though they are dehydrated, they do not need to drink water, because their body’s internal balancing mechanisms are not working very well.
Result
People over the age of 60 are easily dehydrated
Because not only because they have very little water supply, but they do not feel the lack of water in their body.
Even so, people over the age of 60 can look healthy and fit.
But the reaction and performance of chemical functions can damage their entire body.
Therefore, if you are over 60 years of age, you:
1. Get into the habit of drinking fluids. Liquids include water, juice, tea, coconut water, milk, soup, and water-rich fruits, such as watermelon, peaches, and pineapple. Orange and tangerine also work.
♡ It is important to remember that, every 2 to 2 hours, you must drink some liquid.
2- Warning for family members! Provide water etc. to people above 60 years of age regularly and observe their health at the same time.
If you notice that they are refusing to drink water and juice etc. from day to day and they are becoming irritable or have breathing problems or show a lack of attention, it is there There are signs of impending dehydration in the body.
